Does anyone else understand this guy..?

Its his first 'proper' relationship. I'd just have a chat with him and get some things sorted out. Make sure you make a date to see each other and stick with it, its no good just faffing around, because eventually you'll both get bored of each other and tell em where to stick it. Try and communicate (even if its just an email) with each other as much as possible so you can build up a "stable" relationship with him and then you can finally get things moving. Hope it works out between you two.
