Ernie Kovacs Nairobi Ape Trio. I read that Jack Lemmon was in the monkey suit on the left. Is that true?

Ernie Kovacs was in the monkey suit in the middle, the conductor and supposedly Jack Lemmon was in the monkey suit on the left that kept hitting him with the mallets. This was the only skit I ever liked that Kovacs did. Everything else he did was awful. And where did he get that song Solfeggio in the Ape Trio? That unique and incredibly catchy song has stuck in my head for 45 years.
