Do rocket launches pollute a lot ?

i know there was a similar question not so long ago (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtRr9DnXBmHML0R4LaW9Ug69DH1G;_ylv=3?qid=20100507192700AAmQmlm), but i wanted to know if this is the same for other launchers (ariane, ares, delta, soyuz...). i always thought that it poluted a lot, because if it didn't, then space agencies would communicate about it, saying that space launches are harmless for the environment...
